Anthony Perrone, MD, leads a team of medical professionals as the chief plastic surgeon for the Department of General Surgery at the Maine General Medical Center in Augusta. In In addition to general plastic surgery, he provides functional and reconstructive care to patients with traumatic injuries and congenital problems. Anthony Perrone, MD, has been practicing in Maine since 2014, and holds certifications with the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. In addition to his medical degree, from Dartmouth College, he holds an MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Anthony Perrone performed aesthetic and body-contouring surgery for the Tufts University Medical Center in Boston. He also worked at the Massachusetts General Hospital, where he handled surgeries on the hand and upper extremities. Early in his career, Dr. Perrone served at the Shriners Hospital for Children, performing corrective surgeries for congenital and traumatic hand issues and reconstruction for complex burns.
Dr. Perrone is a co-author on two pieces published in medical journals and has also made presentations on topics related to his field in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina.
